7 Ways We’re Different
1. Unique multi-generational advisor team approach
Your personal advisors, Lisa and Jack, enjoy strategizing about each client’s unique situation and bring different perspectives to the team.
- Lisa, in her early 40s, has over 16 years of experience in financial advising and obtained her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNING™ certification in 2010. As the firm’s principle owner, she will be a stable resource for our clients for many years to come.
- Jack has a background as a physicist and always loved investing and optimization strategies. He is certified as a Behavioral Financial Advisor. He contributes a different viewpoint from his 47 years of experience with alternative, real-estate, and stock investments.
2. Small firm with extensive resources
This allows us to provide highly personalized service. We enjoy establishing a long-term relationship with our family of clients and being available to simplify their lives and reduce worry
- Our collaborative network of professionals and resources is large. We are members of the National Association of Professional Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and XY Planning Network. We have a vetted network of CPAs, insurance agents, trust firms, and estate attorneys.
3. Investment Philosophy
- Two words sum up our core investment philosophy: Diversification and Discipline.
- Together, we explore your goals and dreams, and craft a meaningful plan to reach them. Then, we steadfastly and gently help you maintain your plan, always focusing on your values and what’s important to you.
4. Wealth management coupled with comprehensive planning services
- Wealth Management
- Retirement
- Social Security
- Tax Strategies
- Insurance Planning
- Estate Planning
- Education Funding
- Charitable Planning
- Independent Referral Platform
5. Fiduciary
In contrast to investment brokers, we are bound by a fiduciary standard to put your best financial interests above our own.
6. Fee-Only
Commission-free: The only way we get paid is directly by you. Typically our clients receive multiples of our fixed fee. Our fee is completely transparent, so that you know exactly what you are paying for our services. Unlike the traditional financial planning model, we receive no commissions, 12b-1 fees, soft money kick-backs, or referral fees.
7. Independent
We are free to choose the investments we feel are best for you.
There are about 285,000 registered advisors in the US.[1] However, less than 3,000 are Fee-Only CFP® advisors who also meet the requirements for membership in NAPFA (double the continuing-education requirements for CFP® certificants). That’s only about 1% of the registered advisors in the United States who have these qualifications.[2,3]
